Shawn and I want to thank you for all your hard work in planning and carrying out our wonderful China Adventure. We were amazed by your energy, attention to detail, how you made sure our every need was met (sunscreen, batteries, Dramamine, music, snacks), and how you kept us so well fed. We really loved the personal touches like visiting the homes of your friends and hearing your personal stories. Most of all we so enjoyed getting to know you and Paul.

I want to thank you for a truly fabulous trip. It couldn't have been more wonderful, and exceeded all my expectations. You managed to knit the disparate group together into a band of happy traveling companions, and made it look effortless. You also made all the logistics look seamless, when I know they couldn't have been. Not to mention all the great shopping negotiations! We both had a wonderful time, and felt very well taken care of all the way through.
You also showed us a China I certainly didn't expect. In fact, yesterday I saw a friend's pictures of her tour to China in 1983, and realized that she saw the China I expected to see -- hundreds of bicyclists, the classic round straw hats, black and white clothing, junks floating down rivers. My stereotypes were 25 years out of date. You showed us many different sides of China that I couldn't have seen on my own -- not only large and small cities, but rural areas, villages, and caves -- but none of it was as "behind" and poor as I thought.
